Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are formed of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance naturally produced in the body. It attracts water and is used to plump, smooth and replace lost volume. There are difference types of fillers for different areas. For example, a denser more viscous filler will be used in the cheek and a softer, more malleable filler is used in the lips. Fillers are temporary because over time your body breaks down hyaluronic acid. They can last around six to 18 months depending on the type of filler, area injected and your own metabolism.

Lip Fillers

Whether you want to increase volume, correct asymmetry, improve balance, create shape and definition or improve hydration, I will have a thorough consultation with you to create the perfect treatment plan.

I use only premium fillers (Teoxane, Restylane or Vivacy) and select a product based on your natural lip tissue and your treatment goals. The amount of filler injected does not alter the price of the treatment, but I will never inject more than 1ml at a time, to minimise the risk of migration. I may use a needle, a cannula or a combination of both. I use a strong numbing cream and the fillers contain lidocaine to minimise any pain.

Longevity varies hugely with lip filler, but it is usually around six months to a year.
